About Author

Dr. P Radhakrishnan has about three decades of experience in design, consultancy and teaching of CIM. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Trichur, Dr. Radhakrishnan did his post graduate studies in mechanical engineering at IIT, Madras. He was awarded PhD from Madras University for his research at PSG College of Technology. He was Professor of Mechanical Engineering at PSG College of Technology, Head of CAD/CAM Centre, and later Principal. He was the Vice-Chancellor of VIT University and is presently Director of PSG Institute of Advanced Studies.

Dr. S Subramanyan, former Principal, PSG College of Technology, former Registrar and former Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore had his education at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore; Imperial College, London; and University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, Manchester, UK. He had been a post doctoral Fellow at the University of Kingston and University of Alberta in Canada. He had been on the faculty of PSG College of Technology from 1959 to 1994. He has considerable experience in teaching subjects related to Thermal Engineering including Heat Transfer. He has served as an Adviser for several leading engineering institutions.

Dr. Venkitaswamy Raju, presently, Vice Chancellor of VIT University was earlier Dean of the School of Engineering Technology at, Farmingdale College, SUNY. His expertise is in computer integrated manufacturing, having spearheaded the development of CIM program and electronic automation at RIT, Rochester in the capacity of Professor of Manufacturing Technology. He later served on the faculty of Purdue University and Florida A & M University.
