About Author

Dr. H K Shivanand is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical engineering at University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering since 2006. He obtained his Bachelor degree from SJCE, Mysuru, Master’s degree from NIE, Mysuru and PhD from Bangalore University. He is put up with 2 decades of teaching and research experience. During his tenure of teaching, he has guided 15 candidates for their doctoral degrees from different universities and is also guiding many research scholars for their doctoral degrees. His areas of interests include composites, nano materials, FMS, manufacturing technology and finite element method. He has also authored one more text book on Advanced Composite Materials. He is having more than 210 publications in various national and international journals/conferences.

Dr. M M Benal is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Government Engineering College since 2010. He has obtained his Bachelor degree from BMS College of Engineering Bengaluru, Master’s degree from MSRIT Bengaluru and PhD from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He is put up with 2 decades of teaching and 10 years of research experience. He is a recognized research guide for different universities and guiding research scholars. His areas of interests include composites, FEM, mechanical vibrations, shape memory alloys and smart materials.

V Koti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MSRIT Bengaluru since 2005. He has obtained his Bachelor degree from Dr. AIT, Bangalore, Master’s degree from Sir MVIT Bengaluru. Presently he is pursuing his doctoral degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. He is put up with 08 years of teaching experience. His areas of interests include manufacturing, design and measurements.
