About Author
N. Krishna Raju, Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering, M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore earned his B.E. degree from the University of Mysore, M.Sc. (Engg.) from the University of Madras and Ph.d. from the University of Leeds (UK). He has taught at the college of Engineering, Guindy, Madras, R.E.C. Calicut, Lanchester College of Technology Coventry (UK), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the K. R. E. C. Surathkal. He, a double gold medalist, is the recipient of U.P. Government National Award for Excellence in Technical Authorship. He is the recipient of Birla Award as the outstanding Concrete Technologists of Karnataka for the year 2001 and several awards from the Institutions of Engineers (India).
R. N. Pranesh is currently Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He earned his B.E. degree from the University of Mysore and M.E. degree in Structures from the University of Bangalore. He is a member of the Indian Concrete Institute and the Indian Society for Technical Education.
